The Manlius Fire Department cover nearly 3,000 calls for service out of one station in our district. The Department is a combination agency in many ways, we are a combination of career and volunteer members, a mix of Fire and transported (ambulance) EMS, and a collection of people staffing the station and some responding from home. Our response area is collection of urbanize-like environments as well as rural interfaces. The Manlius Fire Department has been in existence for over 200 years and balances this long history and tradition with progressive changes making the department a well rounded and dynamic agency.
Why Our Department
We are unique in that we offer a complete array of volunteering options. Anyone interested has options on how to help our department, including scheduled volunteer time! Those that live in our district can choose to respond from home while anyone can choose to staff the station and enjoy the firehouse lifestyle.
With in-house state level credentialing in Fire and EMS classes our members have the opportunity to train and prepare without travel to far away location. There is truly no better place to volunteer in Fire and EMS than the Manlius Fire Department
